| Tokyo | Which area is better to stay and which hotels or B&Bs? Posted: Fri March 14, 2008 03:06 PM UTC
I am thinking of going to Japan either alone or with my partner, as I have a couple of friends living in Tokyo and a relative on the island of Minami Daito. My friend in Tokyo lives in the prefecture of Saitama, that is apparently a suburb north of Tokyo but as she doesn't have a place for me to stay at her house, i am looking for a hotel or bed and breakfast.
I have never been to Japan so no idea which area is best to stay ( looking for quiet and pretty area, with cafes, shops etc)? I'd like to visit Tokyo but I don't know my friend's area if it's a good place to stay? The kind of hotel or B&B I am looking for is quiet, clean and close to transport so if anyone knows a good hotel or B&B pls let me know. how long do u recommend I go? I was thinking overall 3 weeks..spend some time in Tokyo and then some on Minami Daito island visiting a relative. Can sb suggest an itinary? Cindy |
