Could someone enlighten me as the distance in Kilometers from Hissarya to Rila Monastery and approximate drive time? I'm also looking for lodging recommendations in Rila if there is any advice you'd like to give.

Hi,
To go to Rila from Hissar,you shoud pass trough Plovdiv(40km),than Pazardzik(40km) and than you go trough the mountain(around 130km) to Dupnitza and than again another 40km to Rila.Its around 250km and half of them are in the mountain.I'm telling you this because you should drive slowly in the mountain.Aproximatly drive time is around 5 hours.Or mayby some more.It depends on you.
