I'm going to Malaysia in June/July and will be going to Taman Negara around the 3rd/4th. I will be going onto the east coast/ Parenthians after Taman Negara and was wondering if anybody new what transport options are avaialble as im struggling to find any. Ive heard about the jungle train but cant find much useful info on it.
Can anyone help?

Well Im not sure of your budget. The best way is to rent a car and the road in Malaysia is fantastic. By car you can get to Taman Negara from KL for less than one hour. From Taman negara you can then move to Pulau Perhentian (I assume when you said Parenthians it muts be this Island). Otherwise you can take a train to Jerantut and from there you can get to Tembeling by taxi and by boat to Tamnan Negara - but it will take you probably more than a day. Or Im sure there are Travel Agency that can arrange for the trip to Taman Negara and Perhentian Island (which one, the small or the big Perhentian Island - normally a lot of foreigner prefer the small Perhentian - the big Perhentian is normally for family). There is no such jungle train in Malaysia although the train from KL to K.Baru passes thru some thick jungle. Perhaps have a look at the website of malaysia to get more information.
