I will go to Kolkata next month...Is there Airtel sim card selling at the airport? Do I need any document to buy sim card there?

I don't know about the airport but you can get them in the city. You have to fill out a bit of paper work. Keep in mind, if you are traveling around, mobile phone companies can/do have roaming charges if you use the phone outside of the state it is registered it in. We used Voda(Hutch)and found we had good coverage. On top up you can be charged a high fee. However they have some top up amounts that give full talk time. Best advise is to check this out before you buy.

this is miks from calcutta yes u can buy an airtel sim card here...it should cost u Rs 99+149 on total....u need a photocopy of ur passport and a passport size photo of yours...thats alll....if u want i can help u here in kolkata to show u around...
