Hi, I've read in lot of places that as a EU citizen I don't need a letter of invitation in order to obtain visa for Belarus, but then I read in other webpages and they say I need a voucher, so at the end it sounds like the same because I didn't have any relative in Belarus anyway.
Did anyone enter by Belarus by land lately? Does anyone know what actually is needed for that visa?

Not personal experience but you really must ask this question of a Belarus embassy or consulate, since rules can change. As there isn't one in Spain I looked up the one for France and it mentions the need for a "voucher touristique" i.e. invitation by Belarus travel agency, for obtaining a tourist visa but not (and no other letter of invitation either) for a visa for a "private visit" of less than 30 days.

Under "private stay visa" (visto per visita privata), under "Annotazione" they say "The visa for private visit for a stay of no longer than 30 days may be requested without presenting a request from a Belarussian citizen. However, under points 21, 22, 23 of the (visa application) form, it is necessary to give the name and address of the Belarussian citizen who will be your reference in Belarus and who will be your host. It is indispensible to give the address of the hotel or private home where you will be staying overnight during your stay in Belarus. However, if the duration of the stay in Belarus exceeds 30 days it is necessary to obtain a letter of invitation from a Belarussian citizen resident in Belarus...."

Yes, yes, I've checked the webpages of the Belarus embassy but all they time they're very ambiguous so I prefered the personal experience of someone to tell me step by step how he did it because no information is clear with them.

2 years ago, my lithuanian friend visit me. she applyed form as "private visit", put my name, address and telephone thans all. BTW, the same scheme work for polish and lithuanian visas for BY citizen. I recieved it a lot.
