We are interested in renting a car in mid-June in order to get ourselves and some personal items to the Guadalajara/Lake Chapala area for a few months.

Ultimately, we would really like to just rent the car one-way and drop it off at Guadalajara airport, but it seems that there is usually a very expensive drop-off fee.

Has anyone had any experiences with rental companies here in Mazatlan, any recommendations on the best company to use, or best way to go about renting here in Mexico, also the drop-off issue?

hola, I work for alamo rent a car, we have a very especial rate for mid-june of: $280.00 Usd. a week for a compact car size and $155.00 Usd for drop off charge to delivery the car in Guadalajara airport in jalisco or $170.00 Usd and just let the location where to pick up the car... if you have any question please, email me at: miturralde@alamorentacar.com.mx
