Hi. I plan to ride my motorcycle from Iloilo to Caticlan (Boracay jump-off) then take the ferry to Roxas, Mindoro and from there on to Puerto Galera via Calapan. I'm familiar with the route except for the Calapan to Puerto Galera leg since this is the first time I'll go to Puerto.

I will appreciate feedback on the road conditions and whether they will be suitable to big bikes. I am quite confused because there seems to be diferent opinions on the road condition, ranging from atrocious to well paved. :)

i also bike around (ok, at times) and if you consider the latest comments, I would guess its on the well-paved topic - and that is how I find the roads to be at the moment from calapan to pg. you may have been reading posts from "commuters" with different views of "bumps" and "potholes" depending on the shocks of the cars/jeeps/bikes they were riding on :)

Yes. The road is suitable for big bikes. Sometimes, road get so narrow and has zigzags too. But still it's ok and not so bumpy (like you need to use a 4x4!hehehe!). On your way to Puerto from Calapan, you will see the Tamarraw falls.
