Avignon Train from Avignon to Milan?
Posted: Tue March 11, 2008 11:12 AM UTC
Hello out there

Can anyone please advise me as to the fastest way to get by train from Avignon to Milan? I need to travel the 21 May 2008, preferably in the shortest time/ most direct route as possible.

Much appreciated if someone can help me.

There are two trains on that day both making a connection in Nice:

AVIGNON TGV 10h46 TGV DUPLEX 6171
NICE VILLE 13h36
NICE VILLE 14h05 CORAIL 145
MILANO CENTRALE 18h50
Durée : 08h04

AVIGNON TGV 14h40 TGV 9827
NICE VILLE 17h49
NICE VILLE 18h05 CORAIL 147
Durée : 08h10

There may be additional trains which require more than one connection. For more information:

Not exactly a short trip but the most direct route takes approximately 8hrs.
TGV from Avignon to Nice then change to a Eurocity service from Nice to Milan.
Food and drinks are available to buy on the train or you can take your own onboard. First class will offer more legroom if you need this.

Thanks very much. I'll check out the Eurocity connection, as this seems different to what I've found.
