| Manila | International to Domestic terminals Posted: Mon March 10, 2008 05:37 AM UTC
I'm catching a plane to Iloilo with Cebu Pacific Airlines but I am landing in the international terminal. Is it an easy/fast walk to the Domestic Terminal or would you recommend taking a taxi? I'll probably have only two bags, one backpack and one rolling bag.

Take a coupon cab, it will cost you P170 though it's just a 5-10 minute ride. If you take a metered cab, it will probably cost you P50-P60 though you either have to get out of the terminal compound or go up to the departure area (one floor up) to get one.

There is a free transfer bus during daytime. If you're on one of those overnight red-eyes, you'll need a taxi. They will try to rob you. - that's the problem with ATM's - only big notes. Fare should be less than 50. Too far to walk, and comlicated.

Hi Icky,
I posted something similar to this a few months ago. Here is the link. My wife was transferring to Butuan which left about 5am. She arrived at MIA about 2300hrs. She told me that the transfer was very easy indeed and there were actually security guards around letting passengers know about the free transfers etc. http://forum.virtualtourist.com/discussion-381117-

By the way, don't be in too much of a hurry - check-in at the domestic terminal doesn't open until after 2am, and there's nowhere to sit. You just lie on the floor.
Then when it's time to board, you walk out and see the whole Cebu Airbus fleet lined up ready to leave at 5 minute intervals. Make sure you get on the right plane!

I have a partial solution to this, ask for an odd amount instead of an even amount. IE instead of P20,000 ask for P19,200 to get a large wad of P500 notes and 2 P100 notes. Regards: Jim
