train help needed

hi i a will be in india in may. i need to travel by train from chennai to mumbai. i used the irctc.co.in website, and after i selected Chennai Central to Mumbai CST and proceeded to book, i was prompted to select which station to alight.

on the route from chennai express, the last few stops are:
pune, lonavala, kalyan jn and last stop dardar.

which station should i alight at? is mumbai cst not a station on the list?

You need to alight at Dadar. The train maybe ending at Dadar and not proceedign till Mumbai CST.

The train is only upto Dadar so it will not go till CST but Dadar is almost in the middle of the city so you should not have any problems. Kalyan and Karjat are far away in the suburbs and not somewhere you would want to get off for Mumbai.

scale: Dahisar-Dadar or Thane-Dadar approx 45-60 minutes by train. Dadar-CST 20 mnts.
name variants of CST - Chhattrapati Shivaji Terminus, Victoria Terminus, VT.

Hi Jack,

We have the same concern: train from chennai to mumbai. One VTer provided me a comprehensive instruction on how to do it online. Its very easy to do...
