Houston Space Center

Is it worthy going to the Space Center?. I am going by myself (30 year old woman).
I have been in the one in Orlando (Kennedy Space Center), is it different, looking at the pictures they look similar....

I visited the souvenir shop for Johnson Space Center but it was on my way back from Kemah, and I did not go in so I cannot really say how different they are.

If you are looking for a nice day trip from Houston, have you tried Kemah? This is where the Gulf comes into the Galveston Bay and you could have lunch in one of the restaurants while looking at the beautiful yacths come in and out of the harbor. The restaurant I had lunch at was the Flying Dutchman - I was also by myself, but enjoyed it tremendously - so relaxing to sit and watch the bay with a nice glass of wine and lunch. Worth the drive from Houston.

It's geared more for kids. They have a tram tour that's interesting, but it depends on how into the space program you are. The Johnson Space Center is different from the Kennedy in that the former is the control center and the latter is a landing and take-off site.
Kemah or Galveston would be a better day trip though. Also consider Armand Bayou Nature Center near Clear Lake City. It's a beautiful area and is nice to just walk around, provided you're not there in the summer. It doesn't get a lot of attention though. http://www.abnc.org/

I have been to the Space Center only once and I have never returned. As pointed out already, it is geared for kids and an adult will unlikely be impressed.
