Lelystad-Haven Travel Forum

From Schipol by train. We need to get to Lelystad. How difficult is it to find the right train and will we have to change trains at Central Station? We are in our seventies( young yet) and each have a big 50lb suitcase to drag along. Is there an easier way?

There are direct "slow" trains (stoptrein) in the direction of Lelystad Centrum, that stop at Almere Haven as well.

At Almere the Citybus # 1 (stadsbus) of the Connexxion company will bring you to wherever you have togo to in Almere.

The trains are easy to find at the airport, kinda self-explanatory...

BTW, do you need to go to Lelystad or Almere-Haven?

It seems it has been taken over by the Apollo Hotel chain.

You could walk from the Lelystad Train station to the Hotel:
Going down from the platform
Crossing a major road
Crossing the City Hall square
Squeezing through the city center shopping streets

It will be a challenge with that suitcase!
