Re: day rooms at Colombo airport? Posted: Fri March 7, 2008 07:08 PM UTC
If you haven't been to CMB for a while, you won't recognise the place, it's light and clean, with some good shops (some of the staff even appear to have been trained) I used to say that Bandaranaike is where the Sri Lanka's stored all their nasty people but it's changed a little these days.
There are several day rooms, I have never been at the airport long enough to need one but the guy I sat next to on the way out in January did, he said they were good (and he had a free ayurveda massage throw in)
I think it's around $50 for the rooms which takes two people max
If you are going out you will get a more comfortable room in a hotel for the same price, there's no hotel at the airport (yet) even the Airport Garden Hotel is several miles away (to be honest I'd take the day room) there are a few decent hotels about but whether it's worth it for 3-4 hours is debatable.
