| County Clare | Getting to Liscannor Posted: Fri March 7, 2008 09:24 AM UTC
Hi,
I booked a Altantic View B&B in Liscannor. Actually the adress says Liscannor, but information I have read on their website states that the B&B is 3 miles from Liscannor and 4 miles from Doolin, has anyone stayed there or you know where it is and how best to reach it? I am also wondering if someone could tell me how to get there from Dublin by public transportation (bus since we will be travelling on a tight budget). I would appreciate all the help. |

if you have a car : http://www.accommodation-cliffs-of-moher.com/gettinghere.html or www.buseireann.ie.
if you take public transport you may need to take taxi to B&B from either Doolin or liscannor

doolin is surprisely well connected via public transport. There are regular buses from Galway (the most obvious changing point coming from Dublin) or Limerick.
I would suggest you try 'citylink' for the journey to the west as they are cheaper and go directly from Dublin airport. The train to galway tends to be expensive, especially on a friday. I actually wrote a tip about getting a B&B in the area your going to - I think it is on my Lehinch page - i hope you have a better experience than me !

Have you asked the owners of the B&B for detailed directions ?
They could probably give you the details of local bus links and the number of the nearest taxi/hackney car. Getting to Limerick or Galway from Dublin is straightforward but for the more local connections you'll need to do some intensive browsing on www.buseireann.ie This is a beautiful part of the country so the hassle in getting there will definitely be worth it. Enjoy your trip :)
