Looking at a Google map, my guesthouse(Thyjeff)backs up to the main rail line AND a freeway! LOL My luck. Anyone know if it is on the good side of the street?

Hi,
just looked on viamichelin and I'm afraid you back on to the railway and motorway, in other words you're on the WRONG side of the street. Tough luck.

I stayed there and it gets noisy. There are a lot of hotels in this area which are quiter and cheap. For example leaving the stage take the under pass under RAvenue Thiers and head for Rue D'Alsace Lorraine , Rue de Suisse or Rue D'Italie and you will be surprised at the bargains. There is a very traditional restaurant on Rue D'Alsace Lorraine which you should try. That said, avoid drining beer in the pubs around here - you will be charged circa 5-5 euros for 25cl , even in the downmarket joints. enjoy SK

Thanks for your help, the viamichelin site is great! I have never used a free one that listed street numbers on the map.
