Monaco Travel Forum

I am staying in San Remo Italy and planned to commute to & from the FI race in Monaco May 24 & 25. The morning train schedule does not get me into Monaco until 11:05 AM which means I miss seeing part of the racing events. Is there any other form of transit ie: intercity bus or taxi which leaves San Remo earlier & gets me into Monaco by say 9:30 AM Sat & Sun?
Any idea of cost?

PS:The train works on the return trip

Found this bus cost 16 euros to Ventimiglia so far unsure of onward bit to Monaco

I did not find any train leaving SanRemo and it arrives to Monaco by 11:05... where did you look?

There are more train you can take, not of them are direct as not all trains will stop in S.Remo, but all trains stop at Ventimiglia as the power car has to be changed (Italian to France ones).
If you don't want to change train there is one at 07:13 and i will arrive to Monaco at 08:17, it take 1h:04m

07:25 SanRemo 07:44 Ventimiglia - 08:03 Ventimiglia 08:25 Monaco
07:52 SanRemo 08:08 Ventimiglia - 08:27 Ventimiglia 08:53 Monaco
then (in case you want to sleep that morning)
09:05 SanRemo 09:26 Ventimiglia - 09:37 Ventimiglia 10:00 Monaco

in those days a bus will be [much] longer as ther will be a lot of trafic, by trains it's much better.

in a few weeks time you'll also be able to buy train ticket at http://www.trenitalia.it/en/index.html (no tickets are sold before two months)

As CGF says lots of trains just type in Ventimiglia then Monaco in the boxes then date and time then hit search
