We are having a wedding in Lucerne in April. Some of our guests are arriving at the Zurich airport and I am trying to find the least expensive and easiest way for them to get to Lucerne/Vitznau. Any suggestions?
I would also appreciate any ideas for activities, sights and restaurant recommendations. Also if anyone knows of a photographer and florist in the area I would love any great tips or contacts. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!! Thank you!! |

I don't think that the modest 80 km distance train ride from Zurich to Lucerne/Vitznau will the most expensive item in a wedding budget. If you cannot pic the participants up yourself, why not ask them to travel straight to Lucerne or Arth-Goldau, then arrange for them to be picked up at the station? If you got 10 or more people arriving at Zruci Airport about at the same time, you can arrange for a "collective ticket" with a 10 pct rebate iplus a "guide" traveling for free. I don't see any other viable alternative.
