Fort Lauderdale Yachts Tours

My mother and I are planning a trip to Fort Lauderdale and I was hoping to spend most of the time on a yacht. Does anybody know of ppl who rent out their yacht when they go on vacation or give overnight yacht tours with diving? Something to this effect?

There are innumerable privately-owned yachts in Fort Lauderdale and the surrounding areas. You weren't clear in your post what you consider to be a yacht -- a 30-foot boat (power? sail?) or a 100-footer (power, of course) and whether you want to run the boat yourself or have a crewed charter? Also, you said "spend most of the time on a yacht"...do you mean during the day, or live on the boat? Big difference.

That said, most people don't rent out their yacht when they're on vacation, for a number of reasons. a) they don't need to, b) insurance clauses prohibit it, etc. There are a number of daysailing boats in the area, but I'm not aware of any that let you live on the boat...a cruise ship would do that, of course.

More information?
