| Gingoog City | Mount Balatukan Posted: Tue March 4, 2008 08:46 AM UTC
Is Mount Balatukan a mountaineering destination? Are there guides who can facilitate climbing parties? What are the details (How many days, etc.)? If so, who can I get in touch with and what are the contact numbers? Thanks!

Try contacting this person, Mr. Jerome Garcia mobile no: 09194043930 ; Email address: a_detour97@yahoo.com
He is part of DOME (De Oro Mountaineers Explorer), a Cagayan de Oro City based mountaineering organization. They also offer other activities like Pinoy rafting. Not sure if Mount Balatukan is a hiking destination. It is located within the Municipality of Claveria and is near the crash site of the Cebu Pacific plane in 1998 where 104 people died. It is the 2nd worst air disaster in the Philippines. If you need more information about Cagayan de Oro, check out this website at http://www.cdoguide.com
