| Santander | Overnight in Santander Posted: Tue March 4, 2008 01:39 AM UTC
Greetings!
I will be spending my birthday this summer in Santander. Was wondering if someone could suggest a special place to have dinner? Also, was hoping that someone could give me some feedback on either of the following hotels? I'm trying to decide between the Hotel Silken Rio or the Hotel Las Brisas? Thanks! |

Hotel:
If your budget allows it, I would choose the Silken. Silken chain hotels are usually 4* stars elegant ones, whereas Las Brisas is probably more modest. I also heard that the Santemar hotel - also by Sardinero beaches - is/was a good one (despite the dull look of the building). Dinner: what do you expect from 'special'? and what type of food? Just above the beach, you have the "Rhin" restaurant, well known in Santander. If you mean more luxus, then maybe one of the restaurants at Hotel Real or the Casino.
