| Monselice | Monselice nightlife... Posted: Mon March 3, 2008 07:09 PM UTC
Hi people! I am the first to post in Monselice forum... :-)
I'll be staying in April nearby, so I just wanted to find out more about nightlife in this city. When talking about sightseeing in Veneto, we're quite prepared, but nightlife.... not! Are there any cafes, clubs or discos in Monselice and surroundings (or do we have to go to Padova?) We're 19 and 22 year-olds and ALL we need is a DANCEFLOOR! We prefer 'active' places where people do not sit an just chat but DANCE. :-) Can we expect places like that in Monselice or not? Thank you very very much! See you! |

That's Veneto, not Rome.
Since you are going presumably from Belgrade and presumably by train, perhaps it's OK if I tell you little train ticket tricks. 1) http://deals.virtualtourist.com/viewDeal-19742-723 Make sure, the ZS office knows it. I think the deal for 60 Euro (advance purchase) is not bad, but... there are better tricks! 2) Dobova-Venecia is 15 Euro in advance (7 day), 25 Euro every day, same as from Ljubljana. You can buy either one in Belgrade. This is a couch price, but don't worry, you won't be in couch. Keep in mind, the Savski Marof-Dobova round-trip is 4.40 Euro if you buy it in Belgrade and 20% less if you buy it in Zagreb. Belgrade-Zagreb-Savski Marof round-trip should be in 45 Euro range, valid on any train for two month. Add all this together and you see 45+4.40+30 = 79.4 or 45+4.40+50 = 99.4 Euro total price from Belgrade to Venice. This is in couch, of course... but you can upgrade it from Zagreb to a REAL sleeper. The Beograd-Zagreb-Venecia couchette is attached in Zagreb to the (Moscow/Bucuresti)-Budapest-Zagreb-Venecia "main" train. The Hungarian and Romanian sleepers are every day, the Russian comes to Zagreb in the direction to Venice on Tuesday, arrives Venice Wednesday, starts Venice Wednesday evening, arrives Zagreb early morning on Thursday. I did that trick except I was coming from Budapest instead of Belgrade and paid 10 Euro for the upgrade. Here are my relevant tricks and the pictures of the sleeper itself: http://members.virtualtourist.com/m/b883d/33/9/

Hi, Monselice doesn't shine for his nightlife :-), it is more a romantic place to walk around and there are some nice bars. You can find more in Padova, but not expect so much...
Take a look at these sites to find out some information about events, pub, disco and more... http://www.padovando.com/ http://www.2night.it/v2/padova/index.html Happy travel, Orietta

Thank you all people, especially you Orietta!
I can see the list of all the pubs, clubs and discos in Padova but can you recommend me some? The ones where younger people tend to go out, students for example? I heard that there are some students' nights? Which days and where is it? Do we have to prove we're students or not? I really thought Italians were more 'active' when it's about nightlife... :-( Which day is usually the 'main day' for going out? Saturday or maybe some other day? (In the place where I live Friday is much more happier..cc..weird!) Again, thanks a lot good people. Greetings!

Hi Pedja, you are the welcome.
Sorry.. I am not young enaugh to know where students go :-))) but I can suggest you to go to Piazza delle Erbe in the late afternoon and enjoy the spritz time, there are plenty of young people, especially students, who sit in the square drinking spritz and having fun, every day. Another suggestion I can tell you is to try to post your question in this italian forum about Padova http://groups.google.it/group/italia.padova.discus or in this one about padova's students http://forum.studenti.it/padova/ I don't really know this forums, I just know they exist.. and they are only in italian. Happy travel.
