Pretty loose slots at the Circus Circus (that's a good thing), and they have a kiosk that sells foot-long hotdogs, shrimp cocktails, and other yummies all for only $1 each!! (well they had that at least 2 yrs ago when i was there so they'll likely still have it). The buffett is pretty decent, too. The rooms are basic, but you should only be needing it to lay your head for a few hours before heading out and having a good time. Enjoy!

If you are expecting a budget hotel then it's okay for the price, but don't think it'll be anything special because it's not. The location isn't very good either...check out the rates for the Las Vegas Hilton and The Luxor on hotels.com --

It is further down the strip than most hotels but there is a bus stop right out front.

Its nearly at the end of the strip but with kids you need the bus that goes up & down the strip with a lot of bus stops to choose from....Dont miss the shows on the outside of some hotels in the evening on the strip and there was a great one for kids with a replica battle of pirate ships full scale and effec ts!

You could do better for accommodations. It's old by hotel standards in Las Vegas these days. The bus that plys the strip, is slow, packed takes forever, and is not cheap, in my opinion it is a tourist rip off. You pay more for this bus than for any other public bus in the system. My suggestion, stay up closer to the action, Excalibur area, and walk.

What you heard is correct. Circus Circus main attractions are for kids. A coworker of mine just got back from Vegas and he said his 6 yr old had a lot of fun but he wouldn't stay there if he wasn't taking his daughter.

Is it important for you to stay in a Vegas 'Mega-hotel'? If yes, for similar price I would recommend the Luxor. Their rates in April starts at $69/night (at their website click on 'special offers' and then 'MVP promotion'. The problem is it's at the end of the strip so you need to fork out $10 bucks for a cab ride to the center of the strip.

If you don't care about staying in a 'Mega-hotel' (you can always eat and gamble at a different hotel) location-wise for a super budget accommodation for me is the Casino Royale. The rooms are similar to a motel 6; clean enough but without any luxury. Location is great though, at the center of the strip.

If you would like to stay in a 'Mega-hotel' and are willing to pay a bit more than what Luxor/Circus-Circus demands, try Paris. Their rates in April starts at $120/night (when accessing their website click on calendar and choose yes on 'Show Hot Deals'.

Regards,
Andy
