Ko Lanta Itinerary for Koh Lanta / Koh Phi Phi
Posted: Sun March 2, 2008 09:49 PM UTC
Hello,

I'm planning a trip to Koh Lanta and Koh Phi Phi for early July. I was originally planning on spending 1 week on Koh Lanta (Long Beach area), and 1 week on Koh Phi Phi. Does anyone recommend more or less time at each location, or any other location, besides day trips to smaller islands for snorkeling?

We will be flying into Phuket and taking a ferry to the other islands. Is it worth spending any time in Phuket?

Thank you!

I would suggest a few nights in Phuket as you are there. PP is beautiful but there realy is nothing to do other than laze on the beach, snorkel or dive. As an alternative you could go to Phuket and check out if any travel agents are selling short trips to PP we did this for approx cost of $AU36 which included hotel pick up ferry, o/night with b/fast last ferry following day very good value. We have actually done this twice now. The travel agent we have used is opposite the Horizon Beach Hotel sorry cant be more precise.

If you are FIRST time to Thailnd, tehn you can be interested to do few days at Phuket soem activities liek dancing shows etc.
Phi Phi has very limited scope of activities, if the weather is fine, than holiday steher are fine as well. I woudl not stay there longer than 3 nights.
Koh Lanta land activities includes elephant treking, caves, beaches hopping around the island, trekking/cycling hills, Thai cooking classes, massage/spa, horse riding - not so much, but for 7 nights or so should be enough.
