Where in Delhi will you get a bus to Rishikesh, time it takes?.And could you get transport Bus/Taxi to Chandigarh from Rishikesh?

You can get bus to Rishikesh from Interstate Bus Terminal. Most buses ply to Hardwar only but a few go to Rishikesh. So better to check with driver or conductor before you board the bus.
The bus which we boarded around 4:30pm reached Rishikesh around 11pm.!! It had number of stops and a wait of about 40mnts in a place for dinner/refreshments! There are buses mostly night buses that can take you from Rishikesh to Chandigarh.Ofcourse there are number of taxis available.

Head to Inter State Bus Terminus near Kashmere Gate. You will find ample buses going to Hardwar and Rishikesh from here. It takes around 5-6 hours. I am not sure if you will find nice and clean air conditioned buses. Last year, I came across this website that offered bus service to Hardwar and Dehradun (I guess they plan to introduce bus service to Rishikesh shortly.)I haven't availed their service.

great to see your post. so are you back in india? well rishikesh you will love. dont miss hardwar also. its only 5 hrs drive from delhi and from there rishikesh is only 1 hr drive. are you planning to learn yoga too while you are there? they are having a month long festival there in rishikesh and many tourists have flocked there to participate in it. happy travels shoma
