Gold Coast Getting to Theme Parks
Posted: Sat March 1, 2008 10:02 PM UTC
Hi

Won't have a car to get to the theme parks from Surfers. Which would be better, Surfside or a transfer? Does Surfside pull right into Movieworld and Dreamworld, or do you have to walk a fair distance from the bus stop to their entrances. Surfside has more options time wise to get to Movieworld and Dreamworld rather than the transfers which are only a couple of times.

If you can catch the buses, do it. They do drop you right out front of the theme parks and their route times are regular. Just make sure you check the last travel times of the day so you don't miss your ride home.

Also check with the bus driver because I have a feeling if you have a prepurchased ticket from the theme parks or if you are going to the theme parks there is some kind of discount or free travel available.

Surfside is the way to go and if you pre purchase you ticket (NRMA RACQ and others ) I am almost sure that you just show your ticket and the bus ride is free but a search or a call will confirm this, go early and spend the whole day there, great fun, be sure to check the opening time so you don't rock up too early
