Ferry to La Gomera from Los Cristianos

We want to book a ferry from Los Cristianos to La Gomera, using the Naviera Armas ferry. I have been on their website but do not seem to be able to book online from the UK. Is it necessary to book in advance (we have a one day window when we can go and don't want to miss out)? Any advice welcome. Thanks.

We used the Fred Olsen Ferry - if did not take much more than half an hour.

Thanks - we may well use Fred Olsen. We were originally interested in Naviera Armas because quite a bit cheaper (Olsen add a fuel surcharge) and also possibility of seeing dolphins en route.

Ann - if you want to see whales etc, the "Freebird" Whale and Dolphin Tours from the Port near Los Cristianos were very good - we did one about 3 years ago.
