Check www.trenitalia.it
All timetable and fare info is there and it's really easy to use. Without looking, I believe there's a regular direct train from Turin to Genoa. From Genoa, regional trains will take you to Cinque Terre. But check the site!

Just had a look - you'll need to enter your destination as the specific village you want to go to. When we went Riomaggiore was the best option.
It seems it's La Spezia where you have to change.

Hi Eve,
follow Bee's advice. Check on the site http://www.trenitalia.com/en/index.html the schedule for the connections you are looking for. You can also find the price of the tickets. Just be aware the Cinque Terre (Five Lands) is made up by five towns (who could imagine it?) The five towns, from west to east, are Monterosso, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola and Riomaggiore. So as Bee said "you'll need to enter your destination as the specific village you want to go to". Eximious Bill is a light in the darkness of the Italian Rail web site. Take a look at his tips and his post in this forum http://forum.virtualtourist.com/discussion-401548- Tell us if you need more help. Ciao marco
