since last hurricane I have heard that beaches in the yucatan are messed up. Can anyone tell me the truth about them? Are they ok or are people exagerating?

They are a bit small, or were in November. In Playa del Carmen they are larger north of the ferry pier

Hi I posted plenty of pictures in my tips from Puerto Morelos.
BEach is fine. The problem is....there is no more palm trees behind the beach. Before the palm trees were spread out into the beach giving that perfect shade, now it is all bold, but hey, bring cute umbrella ;-)
Other than that, the beach is perfect. Fantastic sand, perfect water, nice local people, what else can anybody ask for.

I go every 6 months. After the hurricane thay replenished the beaches. Since then some of the beaches have eroded. The center of the zone has lost alot of sand but still have some beach ( 6 to 15 km ) ( Royal Cancun and to the N & S). The top of the seven is still great.
