| Zürich | Things to do on a Sunday in Zurich Posted: Thu February 28, 2008 10:54 PM UTC
I'm taking high school students to Berlin, Prague, Munich and Lucerne the end of
March - beginning of April. We will be staying in Lucerne for 3 nights and have lots of free time so I'm trying to arrange a day trip to Zurich, but it's on a SUNDAY. We will have a bus to drop us off wherever we want. What do you recommend? They are high school students..no drinking. Thank you for your time. Erika |

Although I have been in Zürich many times and really like it I wonder if you should really plan this day trip. There are so many things to see and do in around Lucerne, the lake, the mountains etc. that I think you will need the time to really explore the Lucerne region. 3 nights means 2 days... That is the minimum for Lucerne.

For a change, a stroll in the city center of Zurich is a good deal. Specifically, the Main Street(Bahnhofstrasse). Let drop at the Main Station and walk down to the lake directions...or drop at the Bellevue Square. At the bridge, you will enjoy a beautiful view of the town's popular landmarks
and the river Limmat. If your time permits, the old town is a must. For shopping, Rail City will serve you. It is located at the underground level of the mainstation. Cheers!
