I will be in Santiago over Easter and would like to travel up the coast near La Serena, Copiapo or Chanaral,during the Easter break, I can't seem to be able to find anywhere to book. I understand that it is busy, Any help? Any contacts

If you are trying to book from outside Chile, that is the problem. You need a Chilean issued credit card to buy online. Maybe a local travel agent could book it for you.

What is it exactly that you want to book. If it is a bus then this cannot be done directly from outside Chile. You will need to go through a local travel agent. A search in Google should bring them up, agencia de viajes in Spanish. IOf you want to book a hotel this you can do directly by searching for hotels where you want to go, again in Google. Try www.gochile.cl/Home/Default.asp for a general site listing hotels, tours etc.

One of the greatest things about Chile is the transportation system. Lots of companies at lots of prices. I always bought my tickets the day before traveling and never had problem; Easter might be different. Check with a travel agency and they can help you.
