Hi,

I will be spending a weekend at Braunschweig in March.
What are the things to shop? Any flea markets around?

Things to shop? Well, the usual stuff you get everywhere in Germany.
There is 1. the big new ugly shopping mall behind the fake Schloss/palace with the usual chain stores, and there are 2. the pedestrian streets in the center with 80% chain stores and a few locally owned businesses (which won't have a chance to survive long, thanks to 1).

Flea market: only once a month, in this case Sat March 15 and Sun March 16 from 7 a.m., Messegelände Eisenbütteler Straße, South of the city center.
