Best brewpub: IMHO, the Jolly Roger in Ballard. Best beer in the area, and a really homey environment, all in spite of Ballard's gentrification.
Alaskan beer: I'm pretty sure almost everywhere with a halfway decent selection of guest taps. It's based in Alaska, but the majority of their business comes from the Pac NW, I believe. At least I've seen it a lot.

Hay Colin, do you know when Red Hook moved from that area?

I didn't know that they were ever in Ballard. I've never been to their Woodinville brewery though.

I think it may have been closer to Fremont. It was a great tour. Woodenville is a nice area but, a long drive for a beer

So, Seattle has a long history of good beer due to the liquor laws that require a bar, pub, etc. to serve food if they serve hard liquor. That's why there were so many "Taverns" in Seattle - although I think the law has changed, and places like the Sunset Tavern have removed the word Tavern from their name and serve booze.
One of the largest selections I've encountered is at Brouwers Cafe in Fremont (The neighborhood that Redhood brewery called home several years ago - it has since moved to Woodinville to hang out with the Wineries). Here's a link to Brouwer's Draft Beer menu, and you'll notice the first thing on the list is Alaskan IPA. http://www.brouwerscafe.com/draught.pdf. Brouwers focuses on Belgian beer, but they have a good selection of regional brews, as well. It's a pretty cool place, in general - although I have to admit I use it primarily as a day-time to early evening drinking establishment, so it could turn into a meat market at night for all I know. Oh, and the mussels are delicious. Another poster mentioned Jolly Roger, and I concur. There are also several German pubs, including The People's Pub in Ballard. Most good pubs with serve at least one offering from Alaskan, though.

I agree that Brouwer's is a great spot, with plenty of unusual beers on tap. I wrote a tip on it a while back:
http://members.virtualtourist.com/m/d0ada/da6ce/2/ Some other ideas for you: --74th Street Ale House --Duck Island Ale House --Fremont Dubliner --Latona Pub --Wedgwood Ale House --Hale's Ales All of these spots have a multitude of brews to try. However, me, I'm a wine bar fan. Have a good time!
