Even though my kids are older now, we have spent several vacations in Orlando both when they were pre-teen and also when they were teenagers. If you are looking for more family time together I would recommend the Disney water parks as they have a more family oriented setting and activities. For teenagers I think Wet N Wild is more to their liking although I personally have not been there. Since you are staying just off of International Drive you can get to Wet N Wild by using the International Drive Trolley which goes all up and down International Drive. This is a great way to travel and see a lot of the tourist kids stuff on International Drive. You can check out two websites for more information on International Drive. Either iridetrolley.com or internationaldriveorlando.com. Sorry I haven't stayed at Hilton Grand Vacation as we own a time share just down the road at Marriott Grande Vista. Have fun and hope this helps.

We are avid Disney people. Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park is great! We've been there and Wet N Wild. BB is less crowded but still has some unbelievable water rides! When we're in Orlando we always stay on Disney property. They have a price range on rooms for everyone--and NO, I'm not a Disney employee.

I have never been to wet n wild but Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon are like different worlds inside Orlando. They are themed like only Disney can do with Typhoon Lagoon being a tropical gettaway which has slides, a creek, roller-coaster like tube rides with ups as well as downs, a shark reef for snorkling and a colossus wave pool, its great for anyone of any age!
Thrill seekers would be more attracted to Blizzard Beach, Summit Plummet is the ultimate slide and it has a spetacular view of Mnt Everest in Animal Kingdom. Last time i was there it was being built, cant wait to go on it in September! Ne way, BB feels like a snow storm has hit Orlando, literally. Their are ski lifts, tobbogan slides, raft rides, ring rides, a creek, a main pool, picnic areas hidden around the place and tons of other slides and things to do! It depends on how old your kids are and what their preferences are. Personally i like Blizzard Beach better as it is themed perfectly. If you want more info, mail my profile or email me.
