My partner and I are arriving in the morning whilst friends are arriving in the afternoon so we will need to kill some considerable time waiting.
Is there a left luggage facility at Faro and if so would it be sensible and possible to catch a bus to and from Faro Town or Beach.

Hello ! Accordingly to the airport website:

A luggage service is available with the following rates:
Rate per hour Monday through Friday / Weekends and Holidays

07:00am/08:00pm 6,96€ / 9,2€
08:00pm/00:00am 10,38€ / 13,8€

There is a bus from the airport to the Faro Beach (Praia de Faro) which stops right outside the airport arrivals/departures area.

Buses leave in the mornings at : 0847, 0922, 1027, 1132

Buses back at 1200, 1240, 1330, 1425, 1500, 1605, 1705

Journey time is seven minutes.

The same route goes into town (destination Jardim or Avenida) so if it's wet etc buses into Faro town from the airport leave at 0907, 0937, 1007(weekdays)1047, 1207
Buses back from town at 1330, 1410, 1505, 1635

These are the current schedules (February 2008); there are minor alterations for the summer.

Thanks for the responses. I did read somewhere that there was no longer a left luggage facility at Faro hence my question but hopefully your information is more up to date.

In that case you should write to the airport services. I did it once and had a repply in a pretty fair time (less than 12 hours).

Hi!The luggage facility was working fine the last time I checked(a couple of months ago). It was located outside the airport building near the parking lot.You have a bus stop just outside the airport building. There's a route to the beach(1,5 km away) and to Faro(4km).Have fun!
