| Nice | Nice to Avignon Posted: Wed February 27, 2008 05:20 AM UTC
Hello,
I'll be arriving Nice by air and would like to go to Avignon. Is there a bus or train from the airport that goes straight to Avignon? I don't want to stay in Nice as I have been there before. I would like to visit Arles and surrounding cities from Avignon before heading up to Paris. Any suggestions or help on this subject would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. |

Trains from Nice that go directly to Avignon start pretty early. As you didn't state your dates or times I did a random on the 15th April from 8am onwards. First train is 9h29 and takes about 3 hours. 2nd class tickets start at 25 euros for a ticket "Prem's" only bookable online and non changeable. Prices then rise to around 40 euros for a walkon ticket. Plenty of other trains during the day, some you have to change in Marseille, some direct. Prices are all about the same, length of trip varies.
