| Casablanca | Marrakech tour from Casablanca Posted: Wed February 27, 2008 04:24 AM UTC
My husband and I are stopping at Casablanca on a cruise. Can we get to Marrakech on a tour from Casablanca? or should we take the cruise ship's tour. It is starting at $119 per person.

Depends of the time you have. Marrakech is 220 kms away so 2 to 2 1/2 hours each way. If you have to start looking for a cab or agency that will cut the time down even further. Whereas if you take the ship's tour everything will be there for you.

Marrakech is 2 hours and a half from casablanca on the high way.So if you have enough time you better off make a one day trip to this magical city"Marrakech"
If need more tips on this issue I am all ears. Good luck, Rachid

The cruise ship tours may cost abit but you have less hassle with them and more time to see Marrakech.
If you did your own thing you will spend less on transport but have more hassle and loose time while waiting for buses and getting tickets and your're proberly ending up spending just as much on sourviners. My advice stick to the cruise ship if it is for a day trip. Earthflyer

Whatever you do will be a rush , and if I was in your place the last thing I'd want is any worry about missing the boat.... if you go on the organised tour you won't have this worry. Maybe you can use their transport to Marrakesh & see the city on your own?

Thanks so much. I always tell my clients to take organized tours for that very reason. But, I was wanting to be a little more adventurous!!!! Doesn't look like I should risk it! Thanks for your advise.

Yes, you are right. I always suggest that to my clients just because of the fact of missing the ship! I just wanted to be more adventurous! Thanks for the advise.
