Hi,
I would like to know which month is the best to visit Hangzhou? July or Sept. Preferably not too hot or too cold. I know I has miss the spring time because I am not free during that period. |

Not July because it is the hottest month of the year. The average temperature is approximately 33.8 degree Celsius. Just try September. April, May, September, and October are the best months for cruising. Spring is considered to be the best month to visit Hangzhou due to the abundance of flowers and flowering fruit trees that line the lake and causeways.

I went in July (2005) and it was very hot.

Definitely September.
I lived in Hangzhou and it is really nice in September for hiking to GeHong Daoist temple, wawlking around the city or visiting West Lake. July is hot hot hot and humid.
