Hi,
I will be in Mogi Das Cruzes next week. How I can go to the beaches by bus? And which beaches near Mogi are the best? Regards John |

Mogi das Cruzes is very near to some good beachs and has good bus station as well. Try to go by bus career to one of these beachs:
* Santos beach * Caraguatatuba's beach * Ubatuba's beach *Ilha Bela's beach Cassiovieggore

Thank you for your reply,
Now I know the beaches names, but what is the name of the bus station? and the bus number or name? Any additional information is highly appreciated

Hi, Mogi das Cruzes' bus depot is at Av. Francisco Rodrigues Filho, 1500, info (11) 4790.1962 (service only in Portuguese, I'm afraid). Breda (http://www.bredaservicos.com.br/) is a bus company operating lines between Mogi and some beaches (such as Bertioga, Boiçucanga, Boracéia, Riviera de São Lourenço and São Sebastião - ferry to Ilhabela) . You can check arrivals/departures online, selecting the "date" (Data Prevista Para Embarque), "from" (Selecione a Origem) and "to" (Selecione o Destino). Although there is public transport on the island from the ferry terminal to the Northernmost and Southernmost beaches, there isn't across the island, so you would probably need to hire a 4x4 taxi to take you to the famous Castelhanos Beach. Or you could walk or rent a bike, if you are more athletic, but that's quite a long way (22 km, some 14 mi).
Cheers! Cello

Sorry, John, I did not quite get what you mean... I'd suggest you try to go to the bus depot and buy your ticket in advance; there should be no problem, as there are several different departure times. Cheers!

Ahhh, do you mean the map of the route? I should imagine it goes down Mogi-Bertioga, and then will head south, to Santos. But I'd recommend you have someone call Breda and check if that is so.
