Hi there,
I was in Kerala during March last year, and attended a fantastic Hindu Festival, not far from Cochin. Best to go to www.keralatourism.org - they have a calender which will inform you about all the festivals happening. Do attend - it is agreat experience. Pierre

20 March is Id e Milad: big in Kerala - being Propet Mohammeds birthday. The devout will attend special public services in mosques and thereafter its more or less private family oriented celebrations.
21 March is Good Friday: big in Kerala - large attendances for special services in churches. 22 March is Holi - not celebrated in Kerala except by small local communities of resident North Indians, and some tourists. 23 March is Easter - big in Kerala - large attendances for special services in churches, thereafter private family oriented celebrations. Try these for more info www.keralaeverything.com/fes.htm www.keralafestivals.com
