Fort Lauderdale Travel Forum

Hi all,
My wife and myself are going for a cruise in April that will depart from the following location:

Port Everglades, S.E. 10th Avenue, Fort Lauderdale, Florida 33301

I would like to ask whether there are any inexpensive hotels available in this area and how easy it is to gain access to them, being from the airport to the hotel and from the hotel to the location above.

With the cruise season in full swing, your not going to find inexpensive hotels in the Fort Lauderdale area. If you do find a few, they are not going to be of very high standard. Staying near the airport will afford you transportation from the airport to the hotel, and some hotels have complimentary transportation from their property to the cruise port. You might take a look at the Comfort Inn Airport and the Econolodge, there are of course many others, but have had friends stay at these two properties.
