Death Valley National Park One Day Plus in Death Valley
Posted: Sun February 24, 2008 01:52 AM UTC
My wife and I will be in Death Valley at the end of March. We will be in the park about mid afternoon (coming from LV), staying at Furnace Creek Ranch for an evening, then spending the entire next day in the park. We will have a regular car, no jeep or 4x4. Questions:

Good place to see the sunset?
Good place to see the sunrise?
Some of the can't miss sights?

We're in decent shape, can walk a couple miles if we need to, but we'd like to see the maximum we can in our time there.

Thanks for any input.

Sun rise at the sand dunes.

Must see - Artist Palette, Devil's Golf Course and Badwater. Zabriski Point and Dante's View. I would not worry about Scotty's Castle.

Regards

John

Well i agree with Artist Palette & Dante's View. I thought Scotty's Castle was great. The tour was inexpensive, not too long and very interesting. We stayed at the Ranch too. Basic, clean rooms - way over priced but they have the monopoly. Great pool to cool off in.
