Orlando DISNEY HOTEL
Posted: Fri February 22, 2008 10:07 AM UTC
Has anybody stayed at the Port Orleans Riverside hotel recently? I am going there in three weeks time with my husband and kids. I have read some reviews on the internet which are not favourable particularly concerning the cleanliness of the rooms. I would be grateful for some opinions on the hotel. We have all been so excited about our forthcoming trip but this is giving me some concern. Thank you...

The antebellum South along the old Mississippi is the theme of the Port Orleans Riverside. Here you will find a combination of the great plantation mansions and bayou villages.

There are four mansion style buildings and 16 bayou, all connected by bridges to the Ol' Man Island pool/fishing area. The Sassagoula River winds through the Port Orleans Riverside Resort. Award-winning, spectacular gardens and fountains are the mainstays of the mansion areas. The smell of the magnolia blossoms as you walk along the picturesque riverside walkways, is divine.

In the Alligator Bayou, you'll find Cajun style brick or stucco lodges with wide front porches and rough hewn railings. These are set amidst dense moss hung pine forests and creeks.
