Could anyone recommend a reasonable priced accomodation for a long stay in Dubrovnik in the summer. Thanks in advance. :-)

you might want to re-think Dubrovnik in the summer. It is unbelievably crowded as the cruise ships have discovered it. A few years back in Dub we found a nice room just asking at the small corner grocery store. Someone actually led us there. You can have alot of fun further up the coast near Split and stay comfortable and take the bus to Dubrovnik for a few days here and there. I have family that rents spacious apartments near Trogir and there's very good bus connections anywhere. Also a cool little walk on ferry that will take you to Split's harbour and back from the Slatine harbour on Ciovo Island. It's connected to the mainland by a small bridge.

Hi
I would not stay in Dubrovnik. The islands nearby are much more desirable. For me, you can do the Dubrovnik expereience in 3 hours. It's not quite Venice.

I've been in Dubrovnik last year and I stayed in an island called Kolocep, only 15 minutes by boat to Dubrovnik. So nice and quiet!
Small island, good people, good food, and good prices. http://www.kolocep.com/ Stay in Dubrovnik is very expensive and didn't worth it. Cheers Miguel

We stayed at House Tereza which is located on Zataon Mali bay, about a 10 minute bus ride from the Old Town. This is the link of the self catering apartment:
