| Luhansk | Disabled travel to Lugansk by Air? Posted: Thu February 21, 2008 09:17 PM UTC
I am from Canada and disabled. I'm in a wheelchair and can not stand or walk!
I wish to travel to Lugansk! How is the airline for some one with my kind of special needs? I would need assitance to get on the plane and in a seat and again get off. I would imagine I would need to be lifted /carried on and off as the plane looks very small! As well I only speak english? Also would I any problems at the airport in Lugansk? I would be flying from Kiev to lugansk! Thank you for any information you can provide? Dennis goldsack Edmonton,Alberta,Canada |

Have you already booked your flights ? If so, you probably could contact your carrier(s). Some general information sites that may be of help: (1) www.makoa.org/travel.htm, (2) www.access-able.com. Gary

Aerosvit flies Kiev Boryspil-Lugansk, operated by Lugansk airlines, in an Antonov turbo-prop.
www.aerosvit.com Best to contact VT-member Victor, hunterV, who lives there and most certainly can and will give you more info and help.

If I may ask you. Why do you intend to go to Luhansk (the russian exact transliteration)? If it is to meet a girlfriend you contacted through Internet and to whom you sent money in order to help ends meet or in order to rent a flat for you two, I am afraid to tell you that you may have been the victim of a scam. Luhansk is the ukrainian main towm of internet swindle with fake marriage agencies, fake brides and so on. Besides it is not at all a town with sight seeing worth to be visited. There are some serious private investigators in Luhansk. For a very reasonable fee, they will check if your girl exists at the address she gave you and if she is realy divorced, widowed or single. You can find the names and adresses of these private dicks on internet through google and pay them through Internet as well. They are worth the few bucks and the check (average cost for an inquiry about 100 bucks). I do not want to describe my own desilusion but I was scamed myself through a Luhansk *** whom I tried in vain to meet when I arrive in Ukraine just for her. Finally I left Luhansk alone, aimed to the Crimea and found a real existing lady in Yalta on the beach, whom I never contacted before through Internet and we are happily married now. Take care. I do not know how I can give you my private email address. I am a french lawyer.

The french lawer guy is right.. I live in Luhansk and
According to some people I know there are more then 100 Fake dating and marriage agencies in Luhansk... they all are illegal and scam Foreigners comming to Luhansk City to meet ladies and find a wife. It's better to travel and see the place yourself if you think the lady you write to is real - then to waste time with the agency - it's a rare thing when you write to a real lady - not to a scammer..or translator. !!!!! and when you come to the city - the lady sees you for the first time... useless waste of time and money.. As I know English well and I met foreigners in the night clubs of Luhansk - and as I see it - they tend to be naive that a young girl of 18 wants to go abroad with a man 60 y.o. like her own father. The guys are crazy :) As for the interpreters use freelancer services - they will charge less and will take care of you. Tt least You can be sure there are no "arrangewments" between an interpreter and a lady. Just Be careful..

The original poster doesn't speak about meeting girls; just asking travel advice.
On top of that he never came back to check the answers so it doesn't seem so important to him after all.

Lots of issues to be solved as to disabled travel to Luhansk...
Dennis, take a look to what people are writing in response to your posting, especially the French lawyer who was here. If your trip to Russia was successful, it doesn't mean this one's going to be as successful... Listen to what the French guy says, "If it is to meet a girlfriend you contacted through Internet and to whom you sent money in order to help ends meet or in order to rent a flat for you two, I am afraid to tell you that you may have been the victim of a scam." You might wish to ignore me, but believe another WESTERNER LIKE YOU! "Luhansk is the Urainian main town of internet swindle with fake marriage agencies, fake brides and so on." ==== true because there are no lawas against them... "Besides it is not at all a town with sight seeing worth to be visited." ====== not true, see my Luhansk page here. Take care, mate!

You are right, Noel! The guy seems to be preoccupied with his own personality.
