| Verona | Hotels in and around Verona Posted: Thu February 21, 2008 05:08 PM UTC
We are travelling on motorcycles with our wives and plan to attend a concert in Verona.Does anyone know of a reasonable priced hotel within easy reach of the Arena di Verona and the railway station that goes to Venice with secure parking(does not have to be in the town centre)as we are happy to taxi/bus around
We will be in the are for 3 days in August. Thanks for any help you can give. |

Mmmmm motorcycles? Why do i have an idea it's a HD....
Anyway... 1) Motorcycles (any size) are allowed inside the ZTL (limited traffic zone)... that means a great part or the old city center (pedestrian areas excluded, of course)... so you may use your bike to go downtown, if you find place around. Keep in mind August is often full, because it's opera season. 2) hard to find good parkings near the center, but there is a muty storey park (parking arena) that could do, maybe. But... Any price range? And more... would you thing to bike into town from Kms outside, to find a cheapr place? How many if so. Or your idea would be better to forget the bike while you stay? let us know.. Francesco

P.S. After a quick search, this hotel (http://www.hotelmilano-vr.it/eng/servizi.html) offers "private garage available upon booking".
Probably not the best one, and in august it won't be cheap... But it is 100 meters from the arean, and 20 walking minutes (with easy bus connection) from the main station. Ciao Francesco

try my friend Federica de Rossi at info@lospite.com.
The accomodations are clean , reasonable, and she is a most gracious host. Tell her Dan reoommended you, and enjoy the concert at the Arena. Verona is my favorite town.
