bring cotton to absorb sweat better, it's the humidity that can get uncomfortable.

also clothes to suit type of activities that you will do whilst in brunei. smart casuals for functions, and jeans and shirts for going around...

Brunei is an Islamic country and they request the tourists be clad properly in that not too much show of flesh. casual dressing is fine. you dont have to cover your hair or anything like that. just common sense and respect for the Moslem Bruneians. I was just in Brunei and enjoyed it very much and you can look at my pages on kuala belait, seria, bsb and temburong.

Yehuda, i love your perspective of kb, excellent observation of
kb life supported by unpretentious commentaries with a pinch of
nostalgia. name-wise, sentosa (tranquility) is more evocative than
belait riviera (river), however having stayed at both, i would plump for
a bed by the river rather than the street, and riviera has a nice
restaurant upstairs... and they let me enjoy my duck rice bought from
the apek at the kb foodstalls!
i did not realise kb has a hometown swissotel, wonder what our odd swiss friends would say having stayed there?
i also detect a glimmer of intellect here on vt kb, all's not lost after all!
