You don't tell us much about yourself.
Where are you from?

Since we do not know where you come from there can be no answer. It depends on your nationality, if you plan on air travel, or train/bus or car travel??

That website covers US/Canadian citizens. Hence the request for nationality/passport is valid.

Sorry if it seemed that I was implying that the request for Nationality wasn't valid. That wasn't my point at all. Since we didn't know the nationality of the poster, my idea was to give that link. That particular page dealt with land travel across the border and stated that it applied to US and Canadian citizens, which does imply that all other nationalities will be required to show a passport. However, that website does have other pages that include info for non-US or non-Canadian citizens, if the poster didn't fall into that category it would be within an easy search to see where they do qualify. Again, sorry for the confusion, Linda

For American citizens re-entering the U.S., a driver's license and proof of citizenship is and will be required. Proof of citizenship can be a passport; it can be a birth certificate.

There is a new passport card you can get for cheaper. It is only good for land crossings between US and Mexico or US and Canada. May 17 is my birthday, too. Have a Happy Birthday!
