You can get them at the INC in Cuzco or at the entrance in Aguas Calientes. Remember that the ticket is good a single entry for up to three days from being issued.

I agree with K-nalla, when you arrive to Aguas Calientes, you can get a ticket to go to Machu Picchu, if I am not wrong, it costs S/128 approx. ($ 43 dollars approx.), besides, you have to get bus ticket, it will go to Machu Picchu, it lasts 25 min. approx. If you don't want to get a bus ticket, you can walk, it could last some hours.
