| Sydney | Somerset Darling Harbour Question Posted: Wed February 20, 2008 01:40 AM UTC
Has anyone stayed in Somerset darling harbor before? If so is it easy to cross that road thing I see on the maps and on google Earth? The picture shows a crossing but does that lead all the way to Darling harbor (the main Harbor I mean)?
I'm interested in it because it appears so close to Darling harbor. I hope someone can give me some advice. |

Yes, there are many crossings into Darling Harbour, and the one out your door at Somerset leads directly to it. The first road you see is Sussex St, which is crossed via the stoplight, and the second road you probably from Google Earth is a highway that leads to the Bridge - the crossing to Darling Harbour goes over that highway, so no worries on crossing heavy traffic.
Hope that helps! Enjoy

Oh cool so there's a crossing in that 2nd road as well then. Thats great I just didn't want to cross a busy Sydney road with lots of traffic, you've been a great help.

Do you realise that Darling Harbour and Sydney Harbour are two different places ?
I just wondered as you ask about Darling Harbour - the main harbour? Darling Harbour is great I love it but it is not the main harbour- Sydney Harbour which has the Opera House ,Harbour Bridge ,The Rocks and Circular Quay . I have not stayed at the Somerset but it is easy to access Darling Harbour without crossing major roads as they have walkways and bridges from all directions .
