That depends entirely on how much time you are likely to spend 'looking' at things, and whether you want to explore the lovely gardens and grounds as well. Less than 3 hours would be a waste of your admission fee, imo, though I suspect you might be able to whizz round the place in 2 as long as there were not too many tour groups at the same time.
